Human Resources Intern
NewBe an early applicant- Contribute to strategic HR initiatives by supporting projects across Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition. You’ll assist in planning and executing programs that promote an inclusive workplace, foster employee growth, and attract top talent to Emerson.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new employees by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and helping facilitate a smooth transition into the organization. You’ll play a key role in ensuring new hires feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one.
- Gain exposure to multiple HR functions by rotating across areas such as employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational development. This hands-on experience will give you a comprehensive understanding of how HR supports business strategy and employee success.
- Analyze HR data and generate reports to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making. You’ll work with tools like Excel or HRIS platforms to help improve processes and enhance employee experience.
- Support HR systems and process improvements by assisting with system updates, troubleshooting HRIS issues, and helping implement enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability for HR teams and employees.
- You are a strong communicator who relates comfortably with individuals across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies. You’re eager to learn and apply new knowledge in dynamic situations, and you thrive in collaborative environments. With a results-oriented mindset and a passion for supporting others, you bring a customer-focused approach to everything you do.

- Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Prior internship experience
- Pursuing a bachelor’s in business or human resources
