Human Resources Intern

Purpose:

The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience across core HR functions while supporting a collaborative, fast-paced HR team. This role provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee experience, HR operations, HRIS administration, reporting, compliance, and special projects.

This opportunity is ideal for a rising senior or recent graduate seeking practical Human Resources experience and a deeper understanding of how HR supports business operations, employee experience, compliance, and organizational growth.

Essential Duties/Functions:

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain HR documentation, personnel files, and HR system data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with compliance audits, recordkeeping, benefits administration, leave tracking, PTO administration, and employee inquiries.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Support new hire onboarding, orientation, documentation, and employee records management.
  • Assist with employee engagement, recognition programs, HR communications, and team events.

HRIS & People Analytics

  • Support HRIS data maintenance, reporting, workforce analytics, and dashboard creation.
  • Compile HR metrics related to recruiting, retention, turnover, engagement, and other people initiatives.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Assist with policy documentation, employee relations projects, training initiatives, and compliance-related research.

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Assist with job postings, candidate outreach, interview coordination, candidate communications, recruiting tracking, and pipeline reporting.
  • Support employer branding, sourcing initiatives, and recruiting-related special projects.

Special Projects

  • Contribute to process improvement, AI and automation initiatives, presentations, training materials, communication resources, and cross-functional projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources, people operations, and employee experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous HR, administrative, customer service, or internship experience.
  • Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, workforce analytics, AI tools, data analysis, or process automation.
  • Experience creating presentations, reports, or employee communications.

Additional Information

This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).

You must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States without requirement of employment sponsorship/visa.
