Human Resources Manager

Job Summary / Purpose

  • To develop HR strategies, manage recruitment and talent acquisition, oversee employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws, and administer compensation and benefits programs.

  • Develops, implements, and oversees human resources strategies and programs that align with organisational goals to attract, develop and retain top talent while ensuring legal compliance.

  • Strategic partner between management and employees, ensuring the organization builds and maintains a productive, engaged workforce.

  • Bridge management and employee relations by serving as a trusted advisor and advocate.

  • Optimise HR systems, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Handle MOM work pass applications, renewals and ensure ongoing compliance with employment regulations

  • Handling grievances, disciplinary processes, warning letters, terminations

  • Duties include conducting the full recruitment cycle from job posting through onboarding, managing performance review processes, resolving employee conflicts and grievances, maintaining HR policies and procedures, and providing coaching to managers and staff.

  • Analyse workforce data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements that support business objectives.

  • Ability to build high-performing teams within the Company.

  • Asking relevant interview questions helps identify and hire the best candidates who can effectively balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational excellence.

  • Oversee the full recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates

  • Provide coaching, guidance and managing the HR Team

  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance

  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance

  • Manage HRIS, payroll systems, and personnel records with accuracy and confidentiality

  • Handle employee relations issues, grievances, and conflicts through investigation and resolution

  • Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives

  • Coordinate with external vendors, insurance providers, and legal counsel as needed

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters

  • Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change management initiatives

  • Handling grievances, disciplinary processes, warning letters, terminations

  • Grievance handling — receiving, investigating, and resolving employee complaints (interpersonal conflict, perceived unfair treatment, workload disputes, harassment allegations) through a documented, consistent process

  • Workplace conflict mediation — between employees, or between employee and supervisor, before issues escalate to formal grievance or disciplinary action

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or generalist role
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships at all organizational levels
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Mandatory Singapore experience (minimum 5 years) in a Singapore SME company
  • Experience managing teams, KPIs, operations, and departmental performance

  • Good understanding of Singapore employment practices and regulations

  • Monitors departmental budgets, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Fosters cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity, quality, and timely delivery of business objectives

  • Digitally savvy with willingness to learn, explore, and apply AI tools, business applications, and digital solutions to improve productivity and operational effectiveness

  • Proactive and solution-oriented; anticipates challenges, drives continuous improvement, and delivers results through effective execution

  • Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, strong presentation skills, sound judgement, and high sense of responsibility in leading teams and managing stakeholders
