Human Resources Manager (Head of HR)

We are a growing, dynamic organization with approximately 120 employees committed to fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Human Resources professional to lead and elevate our people strategy while maintaining a hands-on approach to all HR operations. You will act as the organization's primary HR subject matter expert and senior people leader, influencing business decisions and organizational strategy through effective human capital management.

Position Summary

The Manager of Human Resources serves as the company's senior HR leader and trusted business partner to executive leadership. This individual will have full responsibility for all human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, training and development, organizational planning, and culture initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior HR Generalist or HR Manager with approximately 10 years of progressive HR experience who is ready to take the next step into a high-level Manager position and help shape the future of a growing organization. The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational, comfortable developing long-term people initiatives while also handling day-to-day HR responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Human Resources Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support company growth.
  • Advise managers and leaders on employee-related matters and organizational effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies to support organizational growth.
  • Oversee onboarding processes and employee integration.
  • Partner with leadership to identify succession planning opportunities, strengthen talent pipelines, and enhance employer branding.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Coach leaders on effective employee management and performance discussions.
  • Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Performance Management & Development

  • Manage and enhance performance review processes.
  • Partner with leaders to identify training and development opportunities.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development efforts.
  • Create programs that encourage employee growth and career advancement.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee compensation programs to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and relationships with benefit providers and brokers.
  • Analyze compensation trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support annual salary review and bonus planning processes.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee handbook, policies, and HR documentation.
  • Manage HR audits and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, and related compliance matters.
  • Monitor changes in employment legislation and proactively implement updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

HR Operations

  • Manage and optimize HR systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Specialist on all aspects of payroll administration, including processing, reporting, compliance, employee inquiries, audits, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and track key HR performance indicators.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize workforce analytics and HR metrics to identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and measure organizational effectiveness.
  • Leverage HR technology and automation to improve efficiency, reporting, and employee experience.
