JOB SUMMARY: The People & Culture Manager facilitates the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. This role encompasses responsibilities in employee relations, training and development, recruiting, associate activities, and other assigned projects. The position aims to foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The People & Culture Manager assists in developing and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

  • Recruiting and staffing.
  • Interview and Document employee investigations.
  • Performance management.
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting.
  • Employee orientation, development and training.
  • Policy development and documentation.
  • Employee relations.
  • Company employee communication.
  • Compensation and benefits administration as needed.
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
  • Employee services and counseling.
  • Other assigned duties as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Problem solving – the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

  • Oral communication – the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.
  • Written communication – the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Planning/organizing – the individual priorities and plan work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
  • Quality control – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Adaptability – the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Safety and security – the individual actively promote and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Human Resources, Business or Organization Development or equivalent.

Five years of progressive experience in Human Resources position.

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.

Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.

Strong understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations. Multi-state knowledge a plus.

Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

PHR (Professional Human Resources) or SHRM Certification desirable
