Roseburg Forest Products Human Resources Professional
Purpose
Supports the plant or operations manager and supervisors in fulfilling all human resource responsibilities in accordance with federal/state law, company policy, labor agreement and Roseburg Core Values.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support hiring process to meet facility staffing needs
- Oversee and review the on-boarding process
- Implements company and plant related policies
- Informs employees and supports the enforcement of appropriate policy, labor agreement and work rules
- Presents human resource related training
- Supports efforts to achieve facility’s performance KPI’s
- Lead all HR initiatives and goals with the support of other HR team members as appropriate
- Create a culture of positive employee relations and communications
- Interpretation, education and enforcement of appropriate policy, labor agreement and work rules
- Lead internal investigations, coach and mentor management members on employee issues
- Grievance process facilitation as appropriate
- Support leave of absence process
- Administers drug testing policy and procedures
- Responsible for the plant bid system
- Collaborate with company office and other facilities as required

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources or related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- Proven knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Proven solutions oriented leader
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with confidential information
- Maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment with a results driven approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors’ degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business, or related field preferred.
- PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP certifications
