Human Resources Specialist
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL. The HR Specialist will support day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Requirements
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, and offboarding.
- Source, screen, and coordinate interviews with candidates for open positions.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure new employees complete all required paperwork and training.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace questions.
- Assist with employee relations and address workplace concerns in a professional and confidential manner.
- Monitor attendance, time-off requests, and other employee-related information.
- Assist with performance reviews, employee development, and training initiatives.
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR data.
- Work closely with management and department leaders on staffing and employee-related matters.
- Support the implementation and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or a related position.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, employee relations, and employment practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/recruitment software.
- Ability to work onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
