Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations & Labor Relations)

Serves as a Labor and Employee Relations (LER) Trainer, responsible for developing, conducting and monitoring LER training for trainees.

Provides initial and refresher training for new and/or newly appointed employees and works closely with them to review their work.

Coordinates with the Program Manager of the Labor Relations, Employee Relations and Performance Management program on developments and evaluation, as well as staff advisory functions.

Provides advice and guidance to supervisors and employees concerning employee relations, discipline, grievances, appeals, leave administration, performance management, hours of duty, premium pay, merit pay and employee-management communications.

Interprets and clarifies Labor Relations policies, laws, regulations, Executive Orders, and decisions of Labor Relations formal bodies, standards, and procedures to all levels of management.
