Human Resources Specialist (Labor Relations Officer)- Direct Hire Authority

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Labor Relations Officer for the Civilian Personnel Office providing guidance and assistance to management on a variety of labor relation matters such as grievances, appeals, collective bargaining, negotiation, and contract administration. Provides Employee Management Relations assistance /advisory services as needed.

1. Provides labor relations assistance to managers and supervisors for organizations. Serves as a senior specialist resolving very difficult labor relations issues in support of a wide variety of organizations with varying missions. 2. Administers formally approved collective bargaining agreements. Provides analysis and interpretation of contract provisions, including impact on developing policies, procedures and existing case laws. 3. Serves as the focal point of contact for negotiations of labor agreements for serviced organization. 4. Prepares written correspondence and other documentations.
