Human Resources Specialist (Part-time)
Summary
The Human Resources Specialist supports HR operations by processing teammate transactions, maintaining accurate employment records, and assisting with onboarding activities. This role provides timely customer service to teammates and managers while helping with routine HR questions, documentation, reporting, and administrative support. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, and collaboration to help ensure a smooth and compliant teammate experience.
Special Hours Required:
This position requires availability for a rotating Saturday shift (4 hours) as part of the regular schedule, along with extended hours during the holiday season. Specific scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview process.

Onboarding Administration
· Process new hire paperwork and employment records accurately and timely.
· Track and communicate background check status to managers and facilitate the collection of required onboarding documentation.
· Ensure all new hire information is entered into HR systems and maintained accurately.
· Assist with onboarding activities and help new teammates navigate required forms and company resources.
· Monitor hiring workflows to ensure all required steps are completed prior to start date.
· Partner with hiring managers and internal departments to support a smooth onboarding experience.
HR Operations and Support
· Support a variety of HR functions as needed, to complete program or project administration.
· Process teammate transactions including hires, transfers, position changes, and terminations.
· Maintain employee records and HRIS data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
· Assist with employment verifications and other routine HR requests.
· Support benefits, payroll, and leave administration processes by gathering and entering required information.
· Generate reports and assist with HR audits as needed.
· Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Teammate Support and Customer Service
· Respond to routine teammate questions regarding onboarding, benefits, payroll, policies, and HR programs.
· Provide timely and professional customer service to teammates and managers.
· Direct complex questions or concerns to the appropriate HR team member.
· Assist teammates with HR self-service tools and resources.
Compliance and Confidentiality
· Maintain confidentiality of teammate information and company records.
· Follow company policies, HR procedures, and recordkeeping requirements.
· Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
General
· Fulfill the company mission by performing job duties with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
· Contribute positively to the HR team and support continuous improvement efforts.
· Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
· Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· One to three years of administrative, human resources, or customer service experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience with HRIS systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
