Humanities Teacher

We are looking for a Primary School Humanities Teacher for an international school in Chengdu. This position is available from March 2027

Job Responsibilities

• Teach humanities to primary school students, developing their understanding of history, geography, cultures and communities
• Prepare engaging lessons and learning materials that encourage curiosity, discussion and critical thinking
• Design and mark assessments, provide learning support and write student reports
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the curriculum
• Monitor students’ progress and set targets to support individual learning needs
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in humanities, education or a related subject
• At least two years of experience as a lead classroom teacher
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in a bilingual setting preferred
