Humanoid Teleoperation & Motion-Capture Data Engineer
About the role
Join our Robotics R&D team and help build high-quality human demonstration data used to train next-generation humanoid robots. This hands-on role combines motion capture, teleoperation, robotics data processing, and data quality.
Key responsibilities
Operate IMU / optical motion-capture systems, VR controllers, haptic devices, exoskeletons, and teleoperation rigs to capture whole-body human motion.
Teleoperate humanoid robots through structured tasks including locomotion, manipulation, pick-and-place, tool use, and human-robot interaction.
Perform system calibration, sensor alignment, drift correction, and troubleshoot capture issues during live sessions.
Conduct first-pass QA on captured trajectories, synchronization, joint limits, and contact events; re-record data when required.
Retarget human motion to humanoid robots using inverse kinematics and skeleton-mapping tools, and validate feasibility before hand-off.
Label and prepare training data for Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and imitation-learning models.
Maintain capture equipment, studio readiness, safety standards, and operating procedures.
Collaborate with Robotics AI teams to improve data specifications, task coverage, and capture quality.
