Huston Commons 2nd Shift Housing Support Staff

Huston Commons, located near Morrill’s Corner in Portland, is the newest of Preble Street’s Housing First programs, with individual apartments and 24-hour onsite, supportive services for 30 adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. With a low-barrier, Housing First approach and based on the principles that everyone deserves housing and the support necessary to maintain it, Huston Commons provides permanent housing alongside onsite services to support tenants in achieving and maintaining housing stability.

Huston Commons currently has an available Housing Support Staff position to provide direct, supportive services to tenants during the overnight hours. Housing Support Staff support case management, outreach and engage with tenants, provide program coverage and maintain safety in program spaces, and provide crisis intervention and support to assist tenants in maintaining safe and stable housing.

Schedule: Friday to Monday, 12 – 10pm
