A HVAC Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems for buildings and other structures to provide comfortable working and living environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop HVAC systems based on project requirements and specifications
  • Conduct load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings and other structures
  • Prepare HVAC system layout and design drawings using computer-aided design software
  • Perform equipment selection and size ductwork and piping systems
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project success
  • Oversee HVAC system installation and commissioning to ensure proper functioning
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Prepare project reports and documentation
