HVAC Draughtsman

The HVAC Draughtsman plays a crucial role in the design and documentation of HVAC systems for various projects. This position involves preparing detailed HVAC drawings, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications and project requirements. The HVAC Draughtsman will support HVAC engineers and project teams by delivering accurate and compliant design documentation, ensuring that all drawings meet relevant standards and codes. Key responsibilities include preparing HVAC shop drawings, developing ducting and piping layouts, and interpreting HVAC design concepts and specifications. The Draughtsman will coordinate with HVAC engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs. Additionally, the role requires revising drawings based on site conditions and client feedback, as well as preparing as-built drawings upon project completion. Maintaining drawing registers and document control is also a critical aspect of this position, along with assisting in clash detection and coordination using CAD/BIM tools. To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components, along with attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential, as are good coordination and communication skills. Time management and the ability to meet deadlines are also important competencies for this position. Candidates should have a Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, HVAC, or Drafting, with a certification in AutoCAD or Revit MEP being an advantage. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in HVAC drafting, specifically in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
