HVAC Service Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: The HVAC Service Project Manager serves as the primary field resource for large
service projects, complex repairs, equipment replacements, and critical customer situations.

The Project Manager works closely with the Service Manager, Dispatch, Sales Advisors, and field
technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest
quality standards.

Field Leadership

● Serve as the lead field representative for large, complex service projects.
● Ensure work is completed according to company standards and manufacturer recommendations.
● Monitor field personnel productivity and quality.
● Reinforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
● Conduct field visits to ensure work quality, customer satisfaction, and technician support.

Project Coordination

● Help coordinate manpower and equipment requirements for major service projects.
● Assist with project planning and work sequencing.
● Communicate project progress with dispatch and sales advisors.
● Coordinate subcontractors, equipment deliveries, crane lifts, and specialty vendors.

Technical Support

● Provide advanced troubleshooting assistance to fellow technicians
● Mentor technicians through difficult service calls.
● Assist with startup and commissioning of major equipment.
● Recommend repair strategies and best practices.

Customer Relations

● Serve as the primary field contact for customers during large projects.
● Maintain professional communication with facility managers and contractors.
● Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
● Identify opportunities for additional repairs or improvements and communicate them to the sales
team.

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent required.
● A technical degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Systems is preferred.
● 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
● Extensive troubleshooting experience with commercial HVAC equipment.
● Experience coordinating commercial service projects preferred.

Physical Requirements
● Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
● Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops.
● Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
● Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
