Job Title: HVAC Technician

Shift: 1st shift (Morning)

Location: Valdosta, Georgia

Pay Rate: $32/hr. to $39/hr.

Important Note: EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification required

Job Description:

The HVAC Technician II is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, and sewage systems. This hands-on role requires technical expertise and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and adjust refrigeration and HVAC systems for optimal efficiency
• Inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing and sewage systems
• Weld, fabricate, and read blueprints for installations
• Handle water and sewage treatment with chemical applications
• Maintain equipment and respond to after-hours service calls
• Comply with safety, food safety, and GMP standards

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–4 years’ experience in HVAC/refrigeration (commercial)
• Familiarity with systems like compressed air, boilers, industrial refrigeration, etc.
• Basic welding skills
• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification required

Skills Needed:

• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Sound reasoning and problem-solving ability
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor
