We are urgently looking for a DevOps engineer for Standard bank. The person will be expected to work on a hybrid bases going in 2x a week to the Rosebank office in JHB ( sometimes Simmonds street but not often) BUT the client is moving towards full time back in office at some point so I just want to be fully transparent about this upfront.

Experience
- Hands on work experience in a hybrid (AWS) cloud environment preferably in the financial sector with PCI-DSS compliant systems.
- Implementing CI/CD pipeline automation across functional areas
- AWS workload automation (provisioning infrastructure and custom software configuration rollout)
- Implementing Observability for hybrid cloud-based environments
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols
- Troubleshooting low latency & Java based applications in a SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) context
- Familiarity/applying Platform Engineering principles and practices
