We are urgently looking for a DevOps engineer for Standard bank. The person will be expected to work on a hybrid bases going in 2x a week to the Rosebank office in JHB ( sometimes Simmonds street but not often) BUT the client is moving towards full time back in office at some point so I just want to be fully transparent about this upfront.

The person will be expected to work on a hybrid bases going in 2x a week to the Rosebank office in JHB ( sometimes Simmonds street but not often) BUT the client is moving towards full time back in office at some point so I just want to be fully transparent about this upfront.

The rate is between R 90 k – R 100k.

Since this is a hybrid role, the person is expected to live and work in JHB.

Experience

• Hands on work experience in a hybrid (AWS) cloud environment preferably in the financial sector with PCI-DSS compliant systems.
• Implementing CI/CD pipeline automation across functional areas
• AWS workload automation (provisioning infrastructure and custom software configuration rollout)
• Implementing Observability for hybrid cloud-based environments
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols
• Troubleshooting low latency & Java based applications in a SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) context
• Familiarity/applying Platform Engineering principles and practices
  
  

Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and practices
