Vanguard Skin Specialists is a dermatology and plastic surgery practice serving communities in southern Colorado. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our patients, our community, and our world. This mission drives everything we do from opening offices in underserved areas to sponsoring humanitarian projects to volunteering locally and abroad, and we believe delivering exceptional medical care requires investing in an extraordinary team and work environment.
“We make a positive impact on our patients, our community, and the world.” -- This is our mission and it is the motivation behind what we do. We are seeking a Front Office/Back Office Medical Assistant who shares this motivation and will help create an exceptional patient experience.

Who We Are:

  1. We are a multi-provider medical practice with a set of operating principle that guide us -- excellence in patient care, one-team mentality, making a positive impact in this world. We believe we are the best at what we do.
  2. We are fanatical about providing the best patient care without compromise. Our teams, come in early and stay late to ensure patient concerns are addressed and our schedule is fully optimized for our patients and providers. We take care of our patients the way we would want our children, parents, and grandparents cared for. We work long, challenging days to make this happen. We expect you to help us sustain this level of excellent care.
  3. We run a remarkably efficient and busy clinic. You will need to juggle many tasks while maintaining efficiency and ensuring all the small details are accounted for. Super human organization and attention to detail is a must.
  4. We operate as one team. Our patients and your team members will count on you to be here, every single day, on time. If you have ever worked in a team environment, you understand how important that dedication is to your team, as well as to your personal success.
  5. We believe it is possible to change the world. We give generously of our time and resources locally and around the world.

Job and Ideal Candidate:

This unique hybrid role offers the best of both worlds. Some days you'll work directly alongside providers in clinic, supporting patient care and procedures, while other days you'll focus on patient coordination and administrative support. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in different environments, and likes balancing face-to-face patient interaction with behind-the-scenes operational work.

A strong candidate for this role is a medical assistant who wants to step up and fill key gaps in our clinic while having stable hours week-to-week cross covering in administrative areas. Some weeks/months maybe heavier clinical MA work, and some weeks/months may be more stable administrative work.

Duties & Responsibilities:
