Introduction & Summary
The Global IT Asset Manager will lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT assets, maintaining governance and data integrity within the CMDB and ITSM systems. This senior role necessitates extensive experience with ITAM tools and robust reporting capabilities, alongside a strong analytical and communication skill set, particularly within the Manufacturing and IT sectors.
Main Responsibilities
The Asset Manager is expected to:
- Develop and maintain an asset management plan for the organization’s assets.
- Ensure that all assets are properly maintained, repaired, and replaced as necessary.
- Manage and oversee the acquisition, disposal, and transfer of assets.
- Correctly update, analyze, and refresh the CMDB.
- Monitor and analyze asset performance, including utilization, maintenance costs, and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.
- Collaborate with other departments to align asset management practices with overall organizational goals.
- Provide regular reports and updates on asset management activities to senior management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers for effective asset management.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in asset management.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of ITAM practices and experience with ITSM tools.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
