Summary
As a SSE Zscaler Architect, you will be responsible for the architecture and design of the Client’s Secure Service Edge capabilities using Zscaler, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and operationally effective globally. Your role includes leading architecture decisions, providing hands-on support during major incidents, and continuously improving security and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the SSE domain target architecture and reference designs.
- Produce and govern architecture deliverables such as HLD/LLD documents and operational runbooks.
- Lead architecture decisions encompassing traffic forwarding, identity and access flows, and security standards.
- Run architecture reviews for new use cases and validate designs from engineering teams.
- Define security policy design principles and support risk assessments/audits.
- Architect integrations with IAM/SSO, Endpoint security, SIEM/SOC, and cloud platforms.
- Act as senior escalation for major incidents to minimize business impact.
- Conduct root cause analysis and establish operability KPIs/SLOs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in security posture and operational practices.
- Coach teams on architecture and operational practices.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Networking.
- 8+ years in network/security engineering, including 3+ years on Zscaler.
- Demonstrated experience in domain architecture and design governance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking protocols.
- Cloud familiarity with Azure/AWS/GCP.
Nice to Haves:
- Certifications: Zscaler (ZCCP/ZCSE), CCNP Security.
