Senior Hybrid App Software Engineers with an emphasis on hybrid mobile app technologies to build and evolve the Anywhere application IQGeo's mobile-first field operations platform used by enterprise customers in the telecommunications and utilities sectors. This role joins a dynamic team working with complex applications that combine software, GIS, and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities • Design, development, unit-testing, maintenance, and enhancement of hybrid applications for iOS, Android and Windows platforms using cross-platform frameworks. • Implementation of automated testing. • Configuration management and management of builds. • Technical documentation of software design. • Guide and mentor engineers. • Work within a PRP-first development workflow: author Product Requirement Prompts (PRPs) as the primary specification format for all new features before triggering AI code generation. • Take ownership of reviewing, validating, and ensuring the correctness of all AI-generated code before it is merged. • Respond to and resolve automated AI code review findings on all pull requests as part of the standard engineering workflow. • Participate in an on-call rotation. Mandatory AI Engineering Competencies Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in an AI-First Software Development Lifecycle. • Proficient in AI-assisted software development using modern coding assistants to accelerate design, implementation, testing and documentation. • Ability to translate business requirements into structured specifications prior to implementation (Spec-Driven Development). • Strong prompt engineering skills for software engineering tasks including code generation, test generation, debugging, documentation and architecture. • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, performance and maintainability. • Experience using AI to generate and maintain automated unit, API and integration tests. • Demonstrated ability to work with AI agents while retaining full engineering ownership and accountability. Essential Qualifications & Experience You must have all of the following: • Experience building efficient hybrid applications in JavaScript with Capacitor (or similar technology). • Mobile application development experience (iOS, Android). • Experience with Electron app development. • Experience with ReactJS. • Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, or similar). • Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming, with a proven track record of successful development experience. • Experience integrating front-end and back-end components. • Experience creating and running automated tests. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to present technical concepts to Architects and Developers. • Experience using Git or other distributed version control systems. • Fluent written and spoken English. Desired Qualifications & Experience Ideally, you'll have some of the following: • Experience with mobile apps test automation. • Experience with integrating native functionality from mobile devices (e.g., camera, GPS, sensors). • Experience building efficient server-side applications in Python. • Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping. • Experience within the telecommunications and/or utilities industries. • Enterprise integration, especially web services. • Experience with mobile UI/UX design. • Experience working in an Agile environment. • Experience with Linux system architecture/administration and supporting network architecture. • Experience working in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience working with Docker containers. • Knowledge of or experience with: OpenLayers, PostGIS, AntD, Pyramid, Shapely, Turf, and SQLAlchemy. Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience
