Summary
Designs sewerage networks, pumping stations, and sewage treatment plants using hydraulic and process engineering principles, producing detailed construction-ready drawings and specifications.
- Perform hydraulic design of:
- Sewerage collection networks
- Rising mains and gravity sewer systems
- Pumping stations
- Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs)
- Hydraulic calculations using Manning's equation and other relevant methods.
- Design sewer sizes, slopes, flow velocities and hydraulic profiles.
- Prepare Longitudinal Sections (L-Sections) and hydraulic grade lines.
- Analyze wet weather flow, infiltration and inflow.
- Design pumping systems and pump head calculations.
Process Design
- Prepare process design calculations for STPs.
- Selection and sizing of:
- Screens
- Grit Chambers
- Equalization Tanks
- Primary Clarifiers
- Biological Reactors (ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR etc.)
- Secondary Clarifiers
- Tertiary Treatment Units
- Sludge Handling Systems
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Design sludge treatment and reuse systems.
- Prepare mass balance and hydraulic calculations.

Master degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering / Public Health Engineering.
