Hydrologic Technician
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Hydrologic Technician position, GS-1316-07/08/09/10/11 with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District. This vacancy will be filled at GS-07, GS-08, GS-09, GS-10 or GS-11 grade level. Duty Station is Little Rock, AR.
You will serves as a senior technician responsible for maintaining over 112 electronic data collection systems for stream-gaging stations, powerhouses, and navigation systems.
You will independently perform a full range of diagnostic analyses on complex IT/OT networks, including Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems, to isolate and correct hardware and software failures without guidance
You will modify equipment software for unique site conditions, ensuring data integrity for hydroelectric generation and SCADA systems
You will conduct quality control inspections of contractor work.
You will analyze equipment performance to recommend system enhancements.
You will be responsible for management of inventory.
