POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Network Administrator supports Nashville SC’s technology infrastructure across the Club’s facilities, with a primary focus on maintaining a reliable, secure, and well-documented network environment. This role requires a hands-on technical operator who can support network administration, infrastructure troubleshooting, end-user needs, and event technology in a small IT team. The ideal candidate brings strong network infrastructure experience, practical troubleshooting ability, clear communication skills, and sound judgment around security, confidentiality, and escalation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment and infrastructure across Club facilities
Maintain and document network assets, configurations, procedures, and escalation paths to support operational continuity
Support end-user helpdesk needs as part of a small IT team
Diagnose and resolve issues related to wired/wireless networks, VLANs, firewalls, and related network services
Contribute to technology planning and execution for matchdays, concerts, international matches, and other major events
Work closely with IT staff, end users, external stakeholders, and technology partners to identify issues, implement solutions, and support system improvements
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating issues and next steps as needed
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required, including matchdays and stadium events
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration, network administration, or related technical support
Strong hands-on experience administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco-based enterprise network environments
Working knowledge of IP networks, routing protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and VMware
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-service skills
Comfortable working in a small IT team where priorities can shift quickly between helpdesk requests, network issues, event support, and longer-term project needs
Sound judgment in handling network access, systems, credentials, confidential information, and appropriate escalation practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or VMware certifications
Experience with Cisco Meraki, enterprise wireless environments, and advanced VLAN troubleshooting
Experience supporting technology operations across multiple facilities or event-based environments
Experience working with external vendors, managed service providers, or technology partners
