About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer with strong expertise in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and hands-on development experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ.
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end application onboarding, IAM solution implementation, workflow development, access governance, automation, and integration. The role requires strong technical skills combined with the ability to understand business requirements and collaborate effectively with application stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding of business applications into the IAM solution, from intake through acceptance.
- Validate and implement functional and non-functional requirements for application onboarding.
- Configure application integrations using standard SailPoint functionality and established IAM architecture principles.
- Design and develop complex SailPoint workflows, rules, policies, and forms.
- Implement and support Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and other access control frameworks.
- Support certification processes, access enforcement, and entitlement management.
- Work with architecture teams to align implementations with target-state IAM solutions.
- Support OPAL-managed service deployments and integration designs.
- Identify opportunities to standardize application onboarding patterns and improve automation.
- Drive automation using available CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with the SailPoint platform team.
- Participate actively in Scrum and SAFe events.
- Coordinate and validate the implementation of designed capabilities against technical specifications.
- Work closely with application owners, business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams.
- Identify improvements in IAM processes, technology, and operational practices.
- Provide operational support for identity lifecycle management processes.
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum 7 years of professional Identity & Access Management experience.
- Strong expertise in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
- Hands-on development experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ.
- Strong experience with SailPoint application onboarding.
- Experience developing SailPoint workflows, rules, policies, and forms.
- Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Experience with Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC); PBAC experience is advantageous.
- Experience with identity certification processes and access enforcement.
- Knowledge of Identity Lifecycle Management, including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes.
- Strong experience with CI/CD and automation.
- Experience working according to DevOps principles.
- Experience working in Agile environments; SAFe experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of security technologies, security best practices, and security policy frameworks.
- Knowledge of entitlement and authorization management.
- Strong consultancy and stakeholder management skills.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Open Policy Agent (OPA).
- OPAL or similar policy-engine technologies.
- Java, Beanshell, or JavaScript scripting/programming.
- SailPoint integrations with:
