IAM Senior Project Manager


  • Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
  • Leading a complex Identity & Access Management programme
  • 1 day per week in Hamilton required (Tuesday) rest remote
As a Project Manager (Identity & Access Management), you'll lead the delivery of a key Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiative, overseeing seven interconnected workstreams within a broader cyber security programme.

This role requires an experienced delivery professional who can bring structure, governance, and momentum to a complex environment, ensuring multiple workstreams are effectively coordinated and delivered against agreed objectives.

You'll work across security, infrastructure, architecture, application, and business teams, as well as external vendors, to drive delivery of IAM capabilities that strengthen security, improve access governance, and support organisational compliance requirements.

You'll be responsible for planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, and execution across the programme of work, managing dependencies, risks, and competing priorities to ensure successful delivery.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating in technical environments, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and driving outcomes across a diverse stakeholder landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of a complex IAM programme comprising seven interdependent workstreams
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, governance artefacts, and delivery roadmaps
  • Coordinate project activities across security, infrastructure, architecture, applications, and business teams
  • Manage delivery of IAM initiatives including identity governance, access controls, authentication, privileged access, and identity lifecycle management
  • Drive governance processes, project reporting, and executive stakeholder updates
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and project change controls
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Ensure alignment across workstreams, maintaining visibility of milestones, deliverables, and key dependencies
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve delivery challenges and blockers
  • Support business readiness activities and transition to operational support where required
  • Ensure solutions are delivered with minimal disruption to business operations and technology services
About You:
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale technology or cyber security projects across multiple workstreams
  • Strong Project Management experience delivering projects using structured Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience leading complex enterprise technology, security, infrastructure, or IAM projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, complex dependencies, and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong governance, planning, reporting, and project documentation capabilities
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and technology delivery partners
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into practical delivery outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable operating within fast-paced environments and driving delivery accountability
Nice to Have:
  • Previous experience delivering Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives
  • Experience with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), or Access Management programmes
  • Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar technologies
  • Experience delivering projects within cyber security uplift or transformation programmes
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale environments and complex technology landscapes
