IB Diploma Programme Coordinator

Coordinator duties:

Serve as a liaison between HWA and the IB for matters pertaining to the IB Diploma Programme

Serve as the community liaison for matters pertaining to the IB Diploma Programme

Plan and monitor implementation of the IB Diploma Programme in the classroom

Plan for, conducts and facilitates professional development for the teachers

Coordinate the Extended Essay process

Coordinate IB Diploma Programme examinations

Evaluates the effectiveness of the programme and, together with the examination results to propose improvements

Upload all relevant materials to IB databases

Manage course planning, course coordination and course syllabus development

Assist DP teachers in developing standard-aligned curriculum materials, including curriculum maps, lesson planning materials and assessments.
Prepare and coordinate final G12 DP external examinations as per IB requirements.
Teaching duties:

Teach Middle/High Years School classes

Demonstrate through collaboration, planning and teaching, the IB and MYP/DP framework of concepts within contexts, and inquiry-based learning that is balanced with specific skills of ‘how to learn’, leading learning towards the IB vision and the aims of individual subject areas and that incorporates interdisciplinary teaching and learning

Work and collaborate with Student Support Department to enrich curriculum and student learning

Differentiate and target learning to students’ needs and aptitude levels

Be culturally and linguistically responsive and proactive

Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent is required

At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

Curriculum development knowledge is required

Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skill

Excellent verbal and written English skills

MYP/DP IB experience preferred.
