IBM i System Administrator
About the role
We are looking for an experienced IBM i System Administrator with strong expertise in IBM AS/400 administration to manage, maintain, monitor, and support IBM i systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring system availability and stability.
Key responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and monitor IBM i (AS/400) systems.
Perform system configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system security.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve incidents.
Maintain system documentation and follow operational procedures.
About you
Minimum 7 years of overall relevant IT experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on IBM AS/400 administration experience.
Strong knowledge of IBM i operating systems and system operations.
Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and performance management.
Knowledge of IBM i security and user access administration.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
