ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are a Singapore-based company specializing in the supply, installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of commercial ice machines and refrigeration equipment.
We are looking for an experienced Ice Machine & Refrigeration Technician to join our technical team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing, testing and commissioning commercial ice machines at customer premises.
- Carrying out troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical faults in ice machines.
- Performing servicing and preventive maintenance for ice machines and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnosing refrigeration system faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
- Replacing and servicing refrigeration components, including: Compressors Condensers Filter dryers Expansion valves Refrigeration components and controls
- Installing and troubleshooting commercial freezers and chillers.
- Carrying out electrical installation, testing and fault finding.
- Troubleshooting control systems, wiring, motors, sensors and other electrical components.
- Installing and servicing water supply piping associated with ice machines and water-related equipment.
- Installing and servicing water dispensers and water heaters.
- Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance according to service requirements.
- Attending customer service calls and responding to equipment breakdowns.
- Preparing service reports and reporting equipment faults and repair works completed.
- Supporting the engineering team in installation, relocation, testing and commissioning works.
- Maintaining proper safety procedures when carrying out electrical, refrigeration and mechanical works.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should preferably possess:
- 3 years or more of relevant hands-on experience in refrigeration, ice machines, commercial kitchen equipment, chillers, freezers or related equipment.
- Practical experience in ice machine installation and commissioning.
- Experience troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical faults.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
- Experience with compressor and refrigeration component replacement.
- Ability to carry out preventive maintenance and breakdown servicing.
- Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Ability to work independently at customer premises.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to travel to different customer locations in Singapore.
- Able to work overtime or attend emergency service calls when required.
- with Singapore Driving License
PREFERRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Experience with commercial ice-machine brands such as:
Hoshizaki | Scotsman | ICE-O-MATIC | Brema | Samsung | Other Commercial Ice Machine Brands
Experience with commercial refrigerators, freezers, chillers, water dispensers and water heaters will also be an advantage.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The position involves hands-on technical work at customer premises, including commercial establishments, supermarkets, offices, food and beverage outlets and other business locations.
The technician must be prepared to work in different customer locations and handle equipment installation, servicing, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
