ICT Business Analyst Digital Solutions & Systems Integration

About the role

The ICT Business Analyst will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, developers, technical teams and project personnel to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into practical ICT and software solutions. The position will play an important role in analysing existing business processes and technology environments, identifying areas for improvement, preparing functional requirements and system specifications, and supporting the design, implementation, testing and continuous improvement of digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients, users and internal stakeholders to identify, analyse, formulate and document business and ICT requirements.
• Analyse existing business processes, workflows, systems, procedures and work practices to identify inefficiencies, limitations and opportunities for digital improvement.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements, business requirement documents, user stories, process maps, workflows and system specifications.
• Use business process and data modelling techniques to document current-state and future-state processes and support the design of appropriate system and software solutions.
• Evaluate existing ICT systems and recommend improvements to system functionality, integration, usability, information flow and business processes.
• Work with developers, software engineers, cloud specialists and other technical personnel to ensure proposed solutions accurately address documented business requirements.
• Assist in analysing and defining integration requirements between ERP, CRM, cloud applications, APIs, data platforms and other enterprise systems.
• Participate in solution design discussions and assess the operational impact, feasibility, risks and benefits of proposed system changes.
• Develop acceptance criteria, test scenarios and functional test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that implemented solutions meet agreed business requirements.
• Maintain accurate requirements documentation, process documentation, system specifications, change records and other project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

About you

• A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or another closely related discipline; or equivalent substantial relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst or in a closely related ICT business analysis position.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting business, user and system requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes and identify system limitations, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Experience preparing functional specifications, process maps, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria and other business-analysis documentation.
• Understanding of systems integration and the interaction between business applications, databases, ERP/CRM environments, cloud applications and APIs.
• Experience working collaboratively with software developers, technical teams, project managers and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a collaborative project environment.
