About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. The role will be responsible for gathering and documenting business and system requirements, analysing operational workflows and system functionality, and supporting the development, integration and implementation of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, order processing and delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Consult with management, warehouse staff, operations teams and other stakeholders to identify business requirements and ICT system needs

  • Analyse existing warehouse, inventory, order fulfilment, shipment and returns processes to identify system limitations, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement

  • Review business workflows and the interaction between operational processes and ICT systems used for inventory control, order processing, warehouse activities and delivery coordination

  • Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements for new systems, system enhancements and process improvements

  • Prepare business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, workflow diagrams and other system documentation

  • Translate operational requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for developers, vendors and other technology service providers

  • Analyse and recommend improvements to system-based controls relating to inventory accuracy, order processing, stock movements, shipment tracking and operational reporting

  • Support the integration and improvement of warehouse, inventory, order management, courier and other relevant business systems

  • Assist with the evaluation, design, configuration and implementation of new or enhanced ICT solutions

  • Develop test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria and coordinate user acceptance testing for system changes

About you

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related discipline

  • Relevant professional experience in ICT business analysis, systems analysis or a closely related position

  • Experience in gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in business process analysis and workflow improvement

  • Experience working with operational users, management, developers and/or external technology providers

  • Experience with system implementation, integration, testing and user acceptance testing

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

  • The ability to translate operational business requirements into practical ICT solutions
