ICT Engineer [ Network Support / CCNA ]

Salary: $3,000 – $4,500 per month

Job Responsibilities

• Support the organisation’s day-to-day IT infrastructure, network services and ICT operations

• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless networks, firewalls, VPN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, routing and switching environments

• Monitor network availability and performance, and resolve connectivity issues affecting classrooms, laboratories, offices and remote users

• Assist with network configuration, segmentation, firewall policies, wireless access and secure network connectivity

• Liaise with external vendors and service providers on network, ISP, firewall, wireless and cabling-related matters

• Support servers, virtualisation, backup, monitoring, endpoint management and Microsoft 365 services

• Assist with Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, user access management and endpoint configuration

• Perform system patching, firmware updates, software deployment, endpoint protection and vulnerability remediation

• Provide technical support for classrooms, computer laboratories, examinations and other campus operations

• Handle and escalate infrastructure or network-related incidents where required

• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes and ensure incidents are properly documented and followed through until resolution

• Support incident management, service requests and change management processes

• Maintain troubleshooting guides, technical documentation and knowledge-base materials

• Identify recurring technical issues and recommend improvements to enhance ICT reliability and user experience

• Support ICT controls involving user access, network security, endpoint security, asset management, monitoring and incident response

• Maintain the necessary operational records and supporting documents for ISO 27001, EduTrust and internal/external audits

• Follow established ICT, information security, access control, incident and change management procedures

• Assist with security incident response and system recovery activities where required

• Support infrastructure-related projects such as network upgrades, firewall replacement, wireless enhancement, endpoint deployment and Microsoft 365/cloud initiatives

• Assist with testing, implementation, documentation and operational handover for new ICT solutions

• Coordinate with vendors on implementation, maintenance and technical support matters

• Perform other ICT-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline

• With years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, NOC/SOC or IT operations

• CCNA certification will be an advantage

• Hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident resolution

• Exposure to enterprise network, firewall, wireless or security environments will be advantageous

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, VPN and network troubleshooting

• Experience with Fortinet, Aruba, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or similar technologies will be advantageous

• Familiarity with ITIL, incident management, change management and service desk processes will be advantageous
