The Opportunity
Are you passionate about cloud infrastructure,containerization, and DevOps? We are searching for a driven ICT InfrastructureEngineer to spearhead the Watermelon Test Automation platform, a criticalsystem that empowers delivery teams for our top-tier banking and regulatoryclients (including MAS).
In this role, you will act as the crucial technical bridgeconnecting platform engineering, infrastructure operations, and testautomation. Your mission is to guarantee a highly secure, resilient, andperformant platform while collaborating closely with solution architects, cyberteams, and enterprise stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Cloud Orchestration
- Drive Platform Excellence: Manage, scale, and support the Watermelon automation platform across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Container Management: Oversee deployments on enterprise AWS EKS and OpenShift clusters, expertly coordinating image updates, fixes, and chaos testing integrations.
- Release Operations: Execute seamless platform upgrades, patch deployments, and releases without disrupting critical banking pipelines.
Network Integration & NGINX Proxy Engineering
- Architect Connectivity: Build and maintain resilient NGINX proxy infrastructure and pass-through connections between Watermelon and target enterprise applications.
- Seamless Integrations: Navigate complex hybrid-cloud environments to validate connectivity across GCC, on-premise data centers, and secure project spaces.
- Secure Communications: Oversee SSL certificate lifecycles and resolve advanced routing, NAT, VLAN, and firewall configurations.
Security, Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Fortify the Platform: Lead vulnerability remediation, deploy vendor fixes, and ensure strict adherence to banking regulatory compliance standards.
- Team Enablement: Support project teams by facilitating the onboarding of new applications and integrating advanced API, functional, regression, and chaos testing capabilities.
- Vendor & Client Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact between financial clients and Watermelon engineering partners to drive root-cause analysis, ServiceNow change management, and incident resolution.
What You Bring to the Table
Core Technical Stack
- Hands-on experience administering Linux and container platforms (AWS EKS, OpenShift, or Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated expertise in NGINX administration, pass-through proxies, and SSL certificate management.
- Strong understanding of network connectivity (firewalls, routing, NAT) and enterprise application integration.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly enterprise-grade operational workflows and ServiceNow Change Management.
- Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities within complex, distributed systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- Direct experience managing or integrating Test Automation Platforms (specifically Watermelon or similar enterprise tools).
- Solid background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Previous experience delivering technology solutions in banking, finance, or other highly regulated environments.
