ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Watermelon/Cloud) (Ref 26541)

Summary

Maintain and integrate a test-automation platform (Watermelon) with NGINX proxies, OpenShift/EKS clusters, and network infrastructure, troubleshooting issues and coordinating upgrades.

Responsibilities

Watermelon Platform Administration

• Administer and support the Watermelon Test Automation platform across development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

• Coordinate platform upgrades, patching activities, image deployments, and release implementations.

• Troubleshoot platform incidents and coordinate fixes with Watermelon engineering teams.

• Monitor platform availability and resolve operational issues affecting automation users.

Test Automation Enablement

• Enable project teams to utilize Watermelon for functional, regression, API, and chaos testing activities.

• Support onboarding of new applications and projects onto the automation platform.

• Assist teams with connectivity, execution, and automation framework requirements.

• Coordinate testing readiness activities for major project milestones.

NGINX Proxy Engineering & Integration

• Design, implement, and maintain NGINX proxy infrastructure supporting Watermelon platform connectivity.

• Configure and manage pass-through proxy solutions between Watermelon and target application environments.

• Support SSL certificate installation and secure communication channels.

• Troubleshoot and resolve proxy-related connectivity issues.

Infrastructure & Network Integration

• Coordinate firewall, routing, NAT, VLAN, and network connectivity requirements with infrastructure teams.

• Raise and manage FireFlow, ServiceNow, and change requests to support platform integrations.

• Validate network connectivity between Watermelon, proxy infrastructure, OpenShift clusters, EKS clusters and application environments.

• Support cross-domain connectivity between GCC, on-premises, and project environments.

OpenShift / EKS Container Platform Support

• Support Watermelon deployments running on OpenShift / EKS platforms.

• Coordinate deployment of container images, fixes, and enhancements.

• Support platform integrations related to chaos testing capabilities.

• Troubleshoot OpenShift / EKS connectivity and access issues impacting automation services.

Security & Vulnerability Remediation

• Coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities identified within Watermelon platform components.

• Track security findings and ensure timely deployment of vendor fixes.

• Support security reviews and platform hardening activities.

• Maintain compliance with organizational security requirements.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical liaison

• Coordinate issue investigations, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.

• Manage platform-related communications, deployment plans, and maintenance windows.

• Support project stakeholders in resolving platform-related technical issues.

Change & Release Management

• Plan and coordinate platform releases and production deployments.

• Raise and manage change requests.

• Execute deployment validation and post-implementation verification.

• Prepare operational communications and maintenance notifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field
