Summary
Braintree District Council is hiring an ICT Security Analyst in Bocking, Braintree, to monitor security systems, investigate cyber threats, and manage and support security technologies across networks and operating systems. Requirements:- Hold a Level 5 qualification in Cyber Security or have equivalent professional experience
- Have experience managing and supporting security technologies, with a sound understanding of network and operating system security
- Be curious, methodical and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical risks clearly to non-technical audiences
- Monitor security systems, identify and investigate cyber threats, respond to incidents, maintain clear documentation and keep incident response procedures up to date
- Design, implement, maintain and monitor security measures across systems and networks, including firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, authentication, log management and content filtering
- Deliver cyber security awareness and training to employees and Councillors, and support regular security testing and reviews
- Contribute to Microsoft 365 administration, infrastructure and application updates, network monitoring and service requests while providing excellent customer service
