Our client is a Federal Government organisation who are seeking an experienced ICT Support Officer to join their team in Canberra.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide frontline ICT support for hardware, software, network, account and device-related issues, including triaging, resolving and escalating service requests and incidents.
Administer user accounts, systems, devices, software and ICT asset records, while supporting equipment deployments, upgrades, testing and implementation activities.
Prepare ICT procedures, user guides and knowledge articles, liaise with staff and service providers, and contribute to cyber security controls, patching, access management and continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated experience providing responsive ICT support within an Australian Government/Commonwealth environment, including troubleshooting technical issues, supporting users and maintaining ICT systems in Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments.
Demonstrated ability to analyse ICT issues, apply sound judgement, identify risks, develop practical solutions and make recommendations that improve systems, processes and user outcomes.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support technical and non-technical users, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work collaboratively while following ICT security and governance requirements.
Experience with Active Directory (on-premises and Azure AD/Entra ID) and understanding of ITIL principles will be highly regarded.
On offer is a contract assignment with potential for extension, with a requirement to be onsite in Canberra, and a highly competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
