About the role

Kildare College is seeking a dedicated ICT Support Officer to join our team in a newly created role within the College. The ICT Support Officer will play an important role in providing responsive, professional and practical ICT support to staff and students, ensuring their day-to-day technology needs are effectively supported.

  • Permanent part-time position

  • 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.00pm

  • 42 weeks per year, working during the school terms plus 2 weeks prior to the new school year

  • Start date – to be negotiated

About you

  • Technically capable and solutions-focused, with broad ICT knowledge and experience providing professional technical support

  • A skilled communicator and relationship builder, who develops positive and respectful relationships with staff and students

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptable and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to changing priorities and unexpected situations

  • Committed to continuous learning and improvement, with a willingness to develop your technical knowledge

  • Professional and trustworthy, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role

  • Certificate IV in Information Technologies (or equivalent qualification) is desirable

  • Hold a current, or obtain prior to being employed, a Department of Human Services (DHS), Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • Hold, or obtain prior to being employed, Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – both Masterclass and Fundamentals

  • Hold, or obtain prior to being employed, First Aid training HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
