Full Time, Permanent

Remuneration: $140,000 - $160,000 + superannuation

Microflite Group is seeking an experienced ICT Systems and Security Manager to lead its ICT function and strengthen the technology and security capabilities supporting a diverse aviation group.

You will lead the ICT team, oversee infrastructure and business systems, and deliver projects that improve reliability, integration and service delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring you to work directly with systems, troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to technical implementation alongside the team. You will also manage cyber security risks, oversee security controls and embed security into technology planning and everyday operations.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will combine strong technical expertise with practical leadership to keep our systems secure, resilient and responsive to operational needs.

Why Microflite Group?

Microflite Group brings together four distinct aviation businesses – Microflite Aviation, Par Avion, Airlines of Tasmania, and Cambridge Airport, under a single group model united by shared purpose, strong capability, and clear alignment. Together, these businesses form a connected aviation group with a strong commitment to safety, excellence, and working better together.

Professionalism, safety, and people sit at the core of everything we do, and we are proud of the diversity of our operations, believing we are stronger because of our differences, not despite them. Working at Microflite Group means being part of an organisation that values expertise, encourages accountability, and recognises the importance of every role in delivering safe, reliable outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

As our ICT Systems and Security Manager, you will:

  • Set the technical direction for infrastructure, business systems, cloud services, networking and telecommunications across the group.
  • Review and improve the technology environment, identifying opportunities to simply, integrate and standardize systems.
  • Lead ICT projects from business requirements and planning through delivery and handover, managing scope, suppliers and operational impacts
  • Manage cyber security risks, establish technical security standards and oversee the implementation and effectiveness of security controls
  • Lead ICT preparedness for service disruptions, cyber incidents, ensuring backup, recovery and response arrangements are maintained and tested.
  • Maintain ICT and security governance documentation, coordinate assessments and drive completion of improvement actions.
  • Manage supplier performance, technology investment, licensing and expenditure to deliver reliable services and value
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand operational needs and provide clear advice on technology priorities, performance and risk.

What You’ll Bring:

You're an experienced ICT professional who combines strong technical capability with practical leadership. You’re comfortable working directly with systems, supporting your team through complex issues and taking projects from planning through to delivery.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft Defender.
  • A solid understanding of enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, business systems, identity management and disaster recovery.
  • Proven experience delivering ICT projects, including system migrations, integrations and infrastructure upgrades.
  • The ability to assess existing systems and implement improvements to reliability, security and efficiency.
  • Practical experience managing cyber security risks and implementing effective security controls.
  • Experience managing technology suppliers, service providers and ICT expenditure.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Australian citizenship, as an essential requirement for the role.
