You will provide technical leadership across large-scale programmes, helping organisations strengthen their security posture while enabling secure digital transformation.Working closely with technical teams, stakeholders and programme leadership, you will architect modern solutions that support both on-premises and cloud-based services.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentity Architecture & StrategyDesign enterprise-scale and Access Management architecturesDevelop secure authentication, authorisation and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) frameworksDesign and implement RBAC, ABAC and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutionsDefine governance, access lifecycle and entitlement management strategiesEvaluate emerging technologies and support platform selection activitiesSecurity & ComplianceEnsure architectures align with government and industry security standardsConduct security risk assessments and provide mitigation strategiesDesign secure audit, logging and monitoring capabilitiesDevelop data protection and encryption approaches for platformsSupport regulatory and security compliance requirementsModernisation & TransformationLead the design and implementation of modern IDAM platforms including Azure AD, Entra ID, Okta, Ping and ForgeRockArchitect cloud-native and hybrid solutionsSupport API-driven services and microservices-based authentication modelsLead migrations and transformation programmesTechnical LeadershipProvide architectural leadership and mentoring to technical teamsDefine architecture standards, patterns and governance frameworksLead technical design reviews and architecture assurance activitiesProduce and maintain high-quality architecture documentationIntegration & Stakeholder EngagementDesign integrations across enterprise applications and cloud platformsArchitect SSO, federation and cross-domain authentication capabilitiesFacilitate workshops and stakeholder engagementsPresent architecture recommendations to senior technical and business leadersEssential Skills & ExperienceMinimum 12 years of experience in and Access ManagementAt least 5 years operating in an Architecture roleProven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale IDAM solutionsStrong experience within secure, regulated or government-focused environmentsExpertise in modern platforms including: Microsoft Entra ID / Azure ADOktaPing IdentityForgeRockStrong knowledge of: Active Directory and LDAPOAuth 2.0SAMLOpenID ConnectIdentity FederationExperience with: Privileged Access Management (PAM)Role-Based and Attribute-Based Access ControlIdentity Governance and Administration (IGA)Access Certification and Entitlement ManagementUnderstanding of cloud and hybrid architecturesStrong knowledge of security architecture, cryptography and secure authentication principlesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDesirable QualificationsCISSP, CISM or equivalent security certificationMicrosoft Entra ID / Azure certificationsOkta certificationsExperience delivering Zero Trust security architecturesExperience within Defence, Aerospace or Central Government programmesPrevious DV or SC clearanceReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
