Summary
IAM Architect for a government department designing enterprise identity architecture, standards, and roadmaps using Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, federation, SSO, and identity governance frameworks.
Salary: $130 - $180 ph
Our client, a key Government Department, is looking for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Architect to join their team for an initial contract until 30 June 2027 with a possibility to extend for a further 12 months. This role will define enterprise identity architecture, standards and roadmaps while advising on secure, scalable identity patterns aligned with business, cybersecurity and operational needs.In this role you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:
- Lead the development, governance and continuous improvement of enterprise identity architecture.
- Own identity roadmaps, standards, reference patterns and architecture decisions aligned with cybersecurity and business priorities.
- Design secure solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, federation, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA and identity governance.
- Govern identity lifecycles, privileged access, RBAC/ABAC, entitlement management, auditability and source-system integration.
- Advise executives, assure identity solutions, guide stakeholders and mentor technical teams, with increased support during critical events.
- Proven experience leading enterprise IAM architecture, governance and implementation across complex cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong expertise in Entra ID, Active Directory, federation, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, PAM, RBAC/ABAC and identity lifecycle governance.
- Ability to translate business, security and operational requirements into architecture designs, standards, roadmaps and implementation guidance.
- Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills, including risk assessment, executive engagement, stakeholder influence and team mentoring.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications and experience in Federal Government, Zero Trust, cybersecurity assurance, governance and mission-critical environments are highly desirable.
- NV1 Security Clearance.
