Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Operations Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms.

You will work on identity services, authentication and authorisation, platform automation, and day-to-day operations to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable identity services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Manage identity and directory services including Active Directory, LDAP, AD FS, PKI, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Implement and support authentication and federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and Kerberos.
• Use Microsoft Graph API for identity administration, integration, and automation.
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies to reduce manual operational tasks.
• Build and maintain platform and deployment automation using CI/CD and configuration management practices.
• Apply DevSecOps principles to identity, platform, and security operations.
• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot IAM, authentication, access, and platform-related incidents.
• Support testing, deployment, change management, documentation, and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure identity platforms meet relevant security, governance, compliance, and reliability requirements.
• Work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners to deliver and support platform initiatives.
• Participate in incident response and operational/on-call support where required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IAM, platform engineering, infrastructure, automation, or related areas.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, LDAP, AD FS, and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Good understanding of identity and federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API for identity management, integration, or automation.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of identity governance, access management, security, and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Good to Have

• Knowledge or experience with Kerberos and PKI.
• Experience supporting enterprise or shared identity platforms across multiple organisations.
• Experience working in government, regulated, or large enterprise environments.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation.
• Microsoft certifications such as: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.

This role is suitable for someone with hands-on IAM and platform operations experience who enjoys automation, troubleshooting, security, and improving the reliability of enterprise identity services.
