Ignite Dance Company Instructor - Part Time

Salary Range: $33.00 - $45.00 DOE
Hours: Thursdays 4-10pm

JOB SUMMARY

Dance company director shapes the creative vision for the dance company for the season (August 2026-July 2027), manages weekly company rehearsals for each dance company, choreographs dance company pieces, works with other dance company instructors, chooses costumes within Company budget, leads auditions, attends all dance competitions and Nationals.

ARTISTIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Vision & Programming: Set the creative direction, select season repertoires.
• Rehearsals & Casting: Hold auditions, make casting decisions, and run weekly
  company rehearsals.
• Production Collaboration: Measure for and choose costumes within budget,
  complete costume sizing forms, complete lighting forms, edit music.
  

ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL DUTIES

• Scheduling: Coordinate master company calendars
• Communication: Update and Maintain company Band app information on a need
  to basis.
• Trainings & Meetings: Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings pertaining to
  the PDC, EGPD.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Experience: Extensive background in professional dance, choreography, or
  company management, 10+ yrs.
• Leadership: Strong communication, motivational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge: Deep familiarity with dance techniques, safety protocols, and
  production logistics.
