Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the MS SharePoint Farm Setup and Administration - experienced in Central Administration, the MS Windows Server web-application tier (IIS), multiple and federated farm topologies, high availability and redundancy, farm-level services such as Search, Office Online Server (WOPI) and workflow engines, and in maintaining current server and operating-system technologies ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the Database Setup and Administration - experienced in administering MS SQL Server content and configuration databases, including performance tuning, capacity and storage management, and high availability clustering (e.g. Always-On, SQL Cluster) ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the Access Management - experienced in Active Directory, Kerberos, laims -based authentication, ADFS, conditional access, Single Sign-On (SSO), certificate services and PKI, and role-based access ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the SharePoint User Profile Services - experienced in the User Profile Service Application and in profile synchronization with Active Directory and other identity sources (AD, LDAP, etc.) ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the . Messaging and Communication Services Integration - experienced in integrating messaging and collaboration services (e.g. MS Exchange, Skype for Business) with SharePoint, including messaging driven workflow automation ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the . Virtualization and Failover Clustering - experienced in virtualization platforms (e.g. MS Hyper- V, VMware ) and infrastructure failover clusters ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the Automation, Scripting and DevOps - experienced in PowerShell automation, scripting and development in additional languages (e.g. Python, C++), scheduled and automated jobs across the platforms, configuration-management tools (e.g. PowerShell DSC, Group Policy), source control and build automation (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps Server), and CI/CD pipelines including release management and environment promotion ;
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the Cloud and Containerization - experienced in cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS) providing hosting, storage, processing, web-application and related services, and in container deployment and orchestration (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes, or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of experience, supported by relevant certification, in the Network Services - experienced in networking concepts such as load-balancing, web application firewalls, egmentation , IP configuration and DNS, and in storage and infrastructure hardware and web portal technologies ;
• Virtualization and Cloud Training/Certifications (e.g. VMware) ;
• Microsoft Azure administration Training/Certification ;
• Server and security Training/Certifications ;
• Excellent spoken and written English communication, presentation and briefing skills ;
• Proactive in identifying issues and improvement opportunities, acting on them without prompting ;
• Strong multi-tasking skills, managing multiple concurrent tasks and shifting priorities in parallel ;
• Structured and analytical approach to problem diagnosis and resolution ;
• Knowledge of NATO environment, working practices, structure and organization.

Duties/role:

• Setting up and configuring SharePoint farms ;
• Configuring User Profile Services ;
• Configuring the Search Service Application ;
• Deploying farm-level service applications ;
• Installing, configuring and maintaining SQL Server platforms ;
• Establishing database high-availability and clustering ;
• Administering integrity checks, backups and recovery procedures ;
• Administering ADFS and authentication services ;
• Managing certificate services and PKI ;
• Integrating messaging and collaboration services with SharePoint ;
• Administering virtualization platforms ;
• Implementing PowerShell automation and configuration management ;
• Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release management ;
• Setting up and configuring cloud platforms ;
• Deploying and configuring container orchestration platforms ;
• Coordinating with NCIA engineers and support teams ;
• Designing solution architecture and high-availability designs ;
• Maintaining proactive monitoring, alerting and health checking ;
• Maintaining version and schema compatibility ;
• Producing technical documentation ;
• Performing fault diagnosis, remediation and root-cause analysis .
