About the role


Chevin’s Implementation Consultants partner closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and customers to deliver software implementations aligned to agreed specifications and use cases. They provide expert-level product knowledge throughout the project lifecycle, from design and build through testing, go-live, and transition to Support.


Implementation Consultants apply deep application expertise and Chevin best-practice implementation methodologies to bring solution designs to life. They configure scalable, maintainable solutions that leverage core product functionality to support key business processes. Working collaboratively with internal teams and customers, they ensure high-quality outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.


They also contribute to repeatable delivery practices by documenting implementation decisions, lessons learned, and reusable artifacts, while using approved AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve quality, knowledge sharing, and implementation efficiency.


Experience in software implementation is essential.


What you will need to do


  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and customers, they ensure high-quality outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Experience in fleet or related industries, along with software implementation experience, is essential.
  • Work concurrently on multiple projects, ranging from standard out-of-the-box implementations to complex enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Support customers through the data migration process, including advising on data preparation, conversion, and loading into Chevin systems.
  • Review proposed solutions during the design phase, identifying opportunities for simplification and reuse of existing functionality.
  • Provide accurate estimates for implementation effort as required.
  • Configure, test, and deploy systems from Functional and Technical Specifications using visual editors and your knowledge of SQL, HTML, and JavaScript, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Use SQL to develop reports, automations, and data validation to ensure data integrity.
  • Support Project Managers by proactively identifying, communicating, and escalating scope creep.
  • Meet or exceed assigned billable and credited utilization targets.
  • Effectively manage your time across competing priorities, collaborating with your manager to resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Proactively communicate risks to committed deliverables to Project Managers as early as possible.
  • Minimize rework by applying quality-focused practices throughout all stages of delivery.
  • Lead sprint demonstrations to showcase system progress to internal teams and customers.
  • Conduct customer-facing training on the solutions and features delivered
  • Ensure all delivered solutions are cleanly configured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
  • Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues as needed.
  • Create and maintain reusable implementation artifacts, including configuration notes, test scripts, deployment notes, and lessons learned, to reduce rework and improve team knowledge sharing.
  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to organize implementation knowledge, summarize source materials, and accelerate artifact creation, ensuring human review and source validation before use.
  • Apply a security-minded approach when configuring, restoring, validating, or integrating customer environments, including appropriate handling of access, credentials, and sensitive implementation data.
  • Continuously build domain expertise in fleet management to increase credibility and maximize the impact of your technical skills.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Professional Services department.

What you need to bring


  • Significant experience (3+ years) delivering software implementations as an Implementation Consultant, ideally within fleet or related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of software deployment methodologies and system integrations, including cloud-based and enterprise platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly develop deep knowledge of Chevin products and translate that knowledge into customer value.
  • Solid understanding of web applications and their underlying architecture.
  • Experience using ETL tools for data migration.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write moderately complex queries in SQL Server.
  • Good front-end development skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON).
  • Solid understanding of APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing and integration troubleshooting tools such as Postman, REST APIs, OAuth/JWT authentication flows, and SQL-based validation.
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions in Azure environments.
  • Practical experience using approved AI tools to improve implementation documentation, knowledge retrieval, artifact preparation, and process efficiency, with an understanding of human-in-the-loop review.

  • Knowledge of SaaS Single Sign-On (SSO) requirements, configurations, and customer integration considerations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the fleet management domain and common customer challenges.
  • Ability to read and debug C# using Visual Studio.
