Job Description

The Import–Export Specialist is responsible for driving import/export process efficiency. This role works closely with logistics service providers to ensure the movement of goods complies with customs regulations while improving on-time delivery to Product Lines.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze import and export documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Update import and export systems as required, including data management and document storage.
  • Analyze customs duty exemptions and free trade agreements to optimize import and export costs.
  • Take ownership of service level agreement performance metrics within the assigned country.
  • Manage daily customs broker operations and monitor performance to reduce lead times and costs.
  • Liaise with customs authorities and local regulatory bodies on operational matters.
  • Ensure correct classification and application of import and export tariff codes for all shipments.
  • Maintain compliance with customs requirements, minimize customs duty exposure, conduct regulatory self-audits, and ensure proper retention of customs documentation.
  • Manage daily customs and trade compliance issues and reporting requirements.
  • Act as the local customs compliance subject matter expert.
  • Manage transportation activities from the port to the base location.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of logistics-related experience.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong written communication skills.
