In-Home Personal Chef - Seattle

Looking for a chef job with real hours and real variety? Down To Earth Cuisine is hiring personal chefs in the Seattle area to cook for clients in their own kitchens: no restaurant grind, no nights, no chaos.

The role: You'll build personalized weekly menus based on each client's dietary preferences, shop for ingredients, prepare a week's worth of dinners in the client's kitchen, and leave things spotless before moving to your next stop.

Schedule & pay: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends. 15–25 hours per week. $27–$29 per hour.

What we're looking for: A skilled chef with real menu-planning and meal-prep experience, a strong customer service instinct, and a commitment to sustainability. You'll need patience, adaptability, and the professionalism to build trust with clients quickly.

Requirements:

• Culinary training or certification required
• 5 years' experience as a professional chef (3–4 years considered DOE)
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent time management
• Respectful, professional communication
• Comfort with sustainability practices
• Adaptability to changing environments

Responsibilities:

• Create weekly client menus
• Shop at local markets for ingredients
• Prepare a week's worth of meals in the client's kitchen
• Leave the kitchen spotless before your next client
• Communicate consistently with the company and clients
• Complete a daily job report
• Join regular virtual team meetings
