In-Process Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage In-process Quality activities in relevant workshop.
  • Perform rework/ rejection analysis to lead efficient Line Quality with industrial cross function team.
  • Perform Inprocess Inspection of Welding activities with respect to products for quality clearance.
  • Performing visual inspections and using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • Manage Internal NCR: Support NCR team to complete characterization until closure using Problem Solving methodology.
  • Preparation of Control Plan and Inspection checklist to perform and manage the records during production stage.
  • Ensure Zero NCR from Internal customer and CFT member of PFMEA.
Qualifications & Competence:
  • Diploma in Mechanical with 8+ years Or Bachelor’s in Engineering Mechanical with 5+ years’ experience in In-Process Quality Control.
  • NDT level certification should be valid at least for VT and DPT method.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions along with necessary confidence.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Tools and necessary knowledge on Measurement Tools
  • Basic knowledge of EN15085, ISO 9001 and ISO 22163 requirements related to role.
  • Experience in Rolling stock industry will have additional weightage. Brief knowledge about Fabrication works.
  • Welding inspection person who holds ISO 9712 Level II certification in VT and DPT process.
