Job Description & Summary

The SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Solution Lead – SD will be responsible for leading the Sales and Distribution workstream for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition projects. The role involves driving Fit-to-Standard workshops, designing SAP-aligned Order-to-Cash solutions, configuring SD processes, supporting testing and migration, managing integrations, and ensuring successful delivery of sales, delivery, and billing processes. The ideal candidate should have strong SAP SD expertise, hands-on S/4HANA Public Cloud experience, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

*Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

• Define end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution architecture for Sales and Order-to-Cash processes.

• Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and guide business stakeholders toward SAP Best Practice adoption.

• Design scalable, compliant, and standardized business solutions leveraging SAP Public Cloud capabilities.

• Evaluate business requirements and provide strategic recommendations balancing business value and standard functionality.

• Govern solution design decisions across multiple project workstreams.

SAP SD Functional Leadership

• Architect and oversee implementation of:
  • Sales Order Processing

  • Pricing & Rebates

  • Delivery Management

  • Billing & Invoicing

  • Credit Management

  • Returns Processing

  • Output Management

  • Customer and Business Partner Management

• Ensure optimal design of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes.

• Drive simplification and harmonization of business processes across regions and business units.

Public Cloud Transformation

• Lead SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation and transformation initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology.

• Promote clean-core principles and cloud-first architecture.

• Assess extensibility requirements using SAP BTP and Public Cloud extension frameworks.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with MM, FI, TM, EWM, PP, and external systems teams.

• Define integration architecture for upstream and downstream applications.

• Guide API-based integrations, middleware solutions, and cloud integrations.

• Support enterprise integration strategy using SAP Integration Suite.

Stakeholder & Program Management

• Act as the trusted advisor to business and IT leadership.

• Conduct executive-level solution reviews and steering committee presentations.

• Manage client expectations and provide strategic direction during implementation.

• Lead global delivery teams across multiple geographies.

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Review configuration designs, functional specifications, test strategies, and solution documentation.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.

• Lead risk assessment, mitigation planning, and solution governance activities.

• Support cutover planning, deployment readiness, and hypercare support.

*Required Skills and Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:

· SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition certification.

· Experience with SAP Activate methodology.

· Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM for project tracking, testing, and deployment management.

· Experience with SAP pricing, rebate/settlement management, advanced ATP, credit management, and output management.

· Knowledge of tax determination, EDI, e-invoicing, and localization requirements.

· Experience with integration tools such as SAP Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, IDocs, SOAP/OData services, and event-based integrations.

· Experience in global template design, rollout, or multi-country implementation projects.

· Exposure to SAP Signavio or process modelling tools is beneficial.

· Understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, or other CRM/e-commerce integrations is a plus.

Qualifications

· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

· MBA, supply chain certification, or SAP certification is preferred.

· Typically 8+ years of SAP SD experience, including at least 1–2 SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation projects.

· Prior experience as a Solution Lead, Functional Lead, Workstream Lead, or Senior SD Consultant is highly desirable.

Years of Experience: 11-15 years of experience
