Incentive Design SpecialistJob Description
As an Incentive Design Specialist, you play a key role in shaping, delivering, and continuously improving incentive programs that support business performance and employee engagement across a global organization.
As part of the central Total Rewards team within the People Innovation & Experience (PIE) function, you operate in a product-led environment and partner closely with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders. You translate business needs into effective, scalable, and compliant incentive solutions.
In this role, you design, implement, and optimize incentive frameworks (such as short-term and sales incentive plans), ensuring they are competitive, aligned with organizational priorities, and consistently applied. You combine strong analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and thrive in a complex, international environment.
Your role:
- Design and evolve incentive frameworks: Translate business strategy and performance goals into clear, scalable global incentive frameworks (e.g. short-term and sales incentives), including metrics, eligibility, and performance logic. Anticipate external trends and ensure that incentive frameworks remain aligned with Philips’ long-term business and workforce strategy.
- Own governance and policy: Continuously improve governance frameworks, interpret policies in complex situations, and ensure alignment with Total Rewards principles, internal standards, and external regulations.
- Drive efficient end-to-end processes: Own incentive planning, design, payout, and evaluation processes, while improving tools, data flows, reporting, and ways of working.
- Turn data into actionable insights: Analyze incentive performance, cost, and effectiveness, using internal data, external benchmarks, budget modelling, and scenarios to inform decisions and trade-offs.
- Advise and align stakeholders: Act as a trusted advisor to Product Owners, People Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders, balancing competitiveness, affordability, governance, and employee outcomes.
- Ensure effective implementation: Partner with People Business Services and other operational teams to support rollout and communication, monitor execution quality, and resolve implementation issues.
- Collaborate globally and locally: Work within the central Total Rewards team and across People, Finance, Sales Operations, analytics, systems, and business teams to deliver global solutions that reflect local requirements and constraints.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's or master's degree.
- Around 7-10 years of Rewards experience with a focus on incentive design (Sales-, Short-Term- and Long-Term Incentives).
- A quantitative background (Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or HR with strong analytics).
- A consulting mindset: structure problems, craft clear narratives, and influence stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills; confident with scenario modelling and visualizing insights in PowerPoint.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
